Service Description

Therapy, Further Assessment, Review Sessions, Meetings. Up to 30 minutes- £55 Up to 45 minutes-£70 Up to 60 minutes- £80 Face to face or remote contact with therapist which will include answering questions and advice on how to work with your child at home/in school. Resources following the session when required. Feedback email to school/parents/other professionals if relevant. School visits will usually be charged at the cost for 1 hour. Therapy is not just teaching your child to communicate, it is a gradual process of facilitating their communication over time. An essential part of this, is ensuring the family and educational staff becomes ore skilled, knowledgeable, and confident at helping the child communicate. It is worth explaining that sessions take time to plan and prepare. By law, detailed written health records of every session must be kept. It takes a minimum of 30 minutes to complete all of the above tasks per session. For initial assessments, the process can take 2 or more hours.
